PMG’s Work Abroad Program offers USA jobs to international students, providing an opportunity to work in cities like in Houston, Texas.

While in Houston you can visit the NASA space center and other historic museums. In the Downtown Houston Theatre District there is live music, night clubs and restaurants that cater for all tastes. Houston is less than one hour away from the beautiful beaches of Galveston Island with its Amusement parks, Shopping and Boardwalk.

Houston is America’s 4th largest city and Aquatic Management of Houston manages pools in the Northern and Western suburbs of the city. Houston is also home Houston Astro’s Baseball team who played in the 2005 world series.

Work Details for Houston, Texas

Guaranteed Average Hours Per Week: 60 hours per week until Sept 1, then 35 hours per week until September 28

Average Hourly Pay Rate:� $8.43 per hour (including bonus & overtime)

Second Job?: NO

Bonus Available?: Up to $0.50 per hour worked (after meeting requirements)

Arrival Dates: From June 1 but no later than July 1, 2008

Accommodation: $115 per week, Extended Stay Hotel or Similar

Lifeguard Training Course: Sofia, Bulgaria for Bulgarian students, Houston, Texas for students from other countries

Training and Uniform Commitment: A $175.00 US dollars Training and Uniform commitment is paid before taking the lifeguard class in Bulgaria or by April 15 for other countries. This money is fully refunded at the end of summer if you work through the end date on your employee agreement.
